About Celebrating With Family
Getting kids to sit still for a photo is usually impossible, so I don't even try. Instead, I plan our sessions around play, tickles, and piggyback rides to keep the energy high. Whether we are in my Goregaon studio or at a local park, my goal is to keep things fun for your older kids so that your maternity photos capture real, happy interactions rather than forced smiles and stiff poses. 🥰
Making It Fun for Everyone
It is totally normal to be nervous about how older siblings will handle a long photoshoot. I have worked with over 1500 families, and I have learned that if you let the kids lead, the magic happens. We will do the 'posed' portraits early while everyone is fresh, then switch to playing games. If the little one needs a snack break or a moment to run around, we take it. This is your family’s special time, not a military drill.
Choosing Your Setting
- Studio Sessions: If you want a controlled, comfortable environment, my Goregaon West studio is perfect. We have a boho setup with pampas grass and wicker furniture that works beautifully for family portraits. It is climate-controlled, so we never have to worry about the Mumbai heat or rain.
- Outdoor Sessions: For families with high-energy kids, parks or beaches are a great choice. The open space lets children run, jump, and play, which creates those candid, motion-filled shots that parents often end up loving the most.
What to Wear
You do not need to match outfits perfectly. I suggest picking coordinated, natural tones like beige, white, or soft pastels that look timeless against any backdrop. While I provide maternity gowns for moms, I recommend picking comfortable clothes for your partner and children so they feel like themselves. When everyone feels comfortable in what they are wearing, they relax, and that is when I get the best smiles. ✨
