We believe a wedding wardrobe should feel like a story only you can tell, not a copy of someone else’s highlight reel.

Meet your mentors. A little about us, Nandini and Shivangi. It's funny how different we are, but our combined superpowers and shared love for culture, design, and the art of seeing is what makes our partnership work.

A note from our journal. To us, curation is about understanding not just what you wear, but why you wear it and how you wear it.

Styling is like a road trip, company matters. Our co-founder Shivangi shares her love for working with people, not just brands, and the magic of finding someone who just gets it.

The "Beyond the Label" lookbook. A personal look from our co-founder, featuring a saree from a local Calcutta shop, a blouse made from fabric leftovers, and a custom bag.

A close-up of the custom Kutch-inspired bag, a piece created from old and new elements, embodying our philosophy of personal and meaningful style.

A moodboard showcasing our "Pride of India" philosophy: repurposing heirloom jewellery, functional couture, and timeless styles.

Announcing our "Beyond the Pinterest Bride" workshop, a space to help brides discover their true style and move past inspiration fatigue.

Dal Makhani Aesthetic. We love the understated, comforting, and deeply Indian nature of brown. Here we are, in our element, at Nandini's at-home mehendi.

We're giving the Indian brown a name it deserves: Dal Makhani Brown. It's unpretentious, wholesome, and warm, just like the dish.

A candid selfie moment from the mehendi, just two friends and co-founders enjoying the process, dressed in our favorite homegrown labels.

About From Our Journal: Philosophy & Musings

We don’t chase what’s on the racks in malls. We look at the heirlooms in your trunk and the colors that actually make you feel at home. Whether it is finding a shade as earthy and warm as Dal Makhani for your mehendi or repurposing your mother’s silk, our focus is on building a look that lasts after the wedding photos stop trending.
