We believe your Haldi should feel as sunny and joyful as the occasion itself. From traditional marigold drapes to lotus-inspired seating, we design every element to capture that perfect, golden festive glow.

A moment of pure joy and cultural fusion at a Haldi ceremony. We created a fun and inclusive atmosphere where family and friends from across the globe could come together and celebrate, complete with traditional lotus-shaped seating for the couple.

A stunning Haldi stage set by a serene pool. The backdrop features a custom pichwai-style painting with 3D marigold lotuses, surrounded by traditional brass pots and floral arrangements. The water is filled with floating flowers, adding to the magic.

A beautiful Haldi setup designed to be one with nature. The backdrop is made of fresh sunflowers and marigold garlands, and the seating area is framed by large, traditional brass urlis and a lotus-shaped platform.

A geometric and colorful Haldi stage. We used triangular wooden frames decorated with marigold strings to create a modern yet traditional backdrop, complemented by brass bowls and a lotus seat for the bride or groom.

This video showcases the details of our "mango magic" Haldi decor. From the custom floral backdrop and traditional brass elements to the vibrant poolside setting, every detail is crafted to create a warm and beautiful celebration.

About this collection

For our Haldi setups, we prioritize durability and comfort alongside aesthetics. That is why we often use heavy-duty, lotus-shaped ground seating—it is sturdy enough for the playful chaos of the Haldi while giving you that perfect, elevated photo spot that does not get ruined by the turmeric paste.

We view the Haldi as the most candid, unfiltered event of the entire wedding schedule. It is the one time where tradition gets a bit messy and everyone truly lets their guard down. Our approach is to create a setting that looks refined but feels completely accessible.

We start by selecting a color palette that pops—usually vibrant yellows, oranges, and deep greens—using fresh marigolds and sunflowers to create a natural, sun-kissed atmosphere. We integrate traditional South Indian elements like brass Urli pots filled with water and floating petals, which ground the decor in local heritage.

Logistics and Reality Check: A common concern couples have is keeping the decor pristine during the ceremony. Because we specialize in both design and event planning, we anticipate this. We design our backdrops using weather-resistant materials and choose floral elements that hold up well in humidity or outdoor heat. Whether we are setting up poolside at a resort in Mysore or in a private residence in Bengaluru, we ensure the furniture is arranged to allow movement. We do not just build a stage; we build a space where your family can actually sit, laugh, and get messy without worrying about the structure behind them.

We are Bhavishath and Akshitha, the team behind Wedding Stories. After 12 years in the industry, we still find the most joy in the Haldi ceremony—it is raw, it is loud, and it is always full of love. We do not believe in cookie-cutter decorations; we would rather spend time finding the right shade of yellow to match your vision.
