Whimsical & Themed Event Decor

For this Alice in Wonderland baby shower, I moved away from standard stage setups to build a complete storybook scene. I combined a custom checkerboard floor with hand-placed giant butterflies and vintage floral-filled drawers to prove that even the most whimsical ideas can be executed with high-end production precision.

Designing a themed event is not about just placing props; it is about creating an atmosphere that transports your guests the moment they walk in. In this project at JW Sahar, the goal was to capture the playful, eccentric spirit of a classic storybook. I sourced specific elements, like the whimsical keyhole arch entrance and the rabbit statues, to anchor the narrative while keeping the floral arrangements fresh and lush. Using a checkerboard stage instead of a traditional platform immediately signaled that this was an unconventional celebration.

This attention to detail extends to every function I style, whether it is a high-energy Sangeet or an intimate baby shower. I look for the 'Desi heart' in every modern theme, blending tradition with creative concepts that feel personal. We focus on integrating items like brass elements or marigolds alongside modern props to keep the environment grounded yet magical.
