About Timeless Heritage
We don't just decorate these spaces; we respect the architecture. In a thottimane or heritage courtyard, our focus is on using antique wooden pillars and heavy brass elements to enhance the existing structure rather than hiding it under layers of modern fabric.
There is a unique soul in a century-old heritage home that no ballroom can replicate. When we work with venues like traditional thottimane courtyard houses in Kerala or rural estates in Chikmagalur, our goal is to complement the history of the space. We avoid heavy drapes that block the craftsmanship of the venue. Instead, we use antique brass Kuthuvilakku lamps and Urlis filled with water and floating petals to mirror the warmth of the wood.
Our floral philosophy for heritage weddings relies on native blooms. Marigolds, tuberose, and jasmine are not just aesthetic choices; they are a sensory necessity. We string them densely to create pathways and backdrops that smell as traditional as they look. For seating, we favor wooden swings, known as Oonjal, and floor-seating with bolster cushions, keeping the vibe intimate and authentic.
Every heritage project we take on involves careful planning around the venue’s quirks. We often work with natural light, using simple floral arches to frame the existing architecture. Whether it is a block-printed textile backdrop for a Mehendi or a simple marigold-laden mandap for the wedding ceremony, we make sure the decor feels like it belongs to the house itself. If you have a specific ancestral home or a traditional venue in mind, let’s talk about how to highlight its character without losing its heritage charm.
