Behind the scenes: My art, press features, and creative journeys
Peek behind the curtain of my creative world. From media features on my public art to the ongoing evolution of my native home into an artist residency, here is the raw, unfiltered story of my work.
A throwback to being featured on the front page of the Indore Times. It was an incredible feeling to see my work on a green art intervention recognized in such a prominent way.
This video is an open invitation to all artists to my native home in Udupi, which I am transforming into a living art gallery. It shows the murals I have started, inspired by local culture, like the portrait of an elder and a vibrant rooster.
About this collection
Creating art is about the space I build for others to join in, not just the final mural. My native home in Udupi is currently transforming into a living art gallery and residency, and honestly, seeing that evolution from a quiet, ancestral house to a buzzing studio for visiting artists is my favourite kind of chaos.
When I am not on site painting or facilitating workshops, I am usually documenting the real stuff that happens before and after the paint dries. You might have seen my work in the Indore Times, where I helped lead a green art intervention, but that press coverage is just a snapshot of the larger goal, which is making art accessible and interactive.
My practice is built on a few core pillars that might not always show up in a finished photo:
- Community-led art: I believe the best murals are those where the community picks up the brush.
- Repurposing spaces: Whether it is a forgotten public wall or an empty room in my home, I look for ways to turn static areas into conversation starters.
- Transparent process: I keep things open. If you are hiring me for a mural or a workshop, you get the full behind the scenes—the sketches, the site visits, and the honest chatter about what works for your specific wall or venue.
I am not just about the final aesthetic, I am about the narrative. My work in Udupi is a long-term passion project because I wanted a space where artists could experiment without the pressure of a commercial client. If you want to know how I bring that same energy to your brand event, school project, or public space, reach out and let us jam on some ideas.

I am Vritti, or Sunflower to the people I work with. I spend my days covered in paint, figuring out how to bring art into unexpected places—whether that is a newspaper feature or a blank wall in your living room.
