Interactive Floor Art and Playgrounds
Turning blank concrete into vibrant battle courses and games. I paint, you play—let's make spaces that get feet moving and imaginations running wild.
A quick selfie break after finishing a 45-foot floor mural in just a day and a half. Covered in paint but feeling accomplished, this is the reality of creating large scale interactive art that gets kids and adults moving.
A video showing the process of creating this massive floor mural. From drawing the initial chalk outlines to filling in the vibrant colors, you can see the energy and hard work that goes into making art that invites you to play.
This video captures the journey of transforming a plain concrete floor into a colorful obstacle course. I designed this space for the "city monkeys," the energetic kids who will soon be hopping, skipping, and racing across it.
Here I am, working late into the night on the floor mural. Large scale projects like this require intense focus and physical effort, but imagining the joy it will bring keeps me motivated.
Adding the final written instructions like "Jump x5" and "Scream" to the floor mural. These prompts are what turn the artwork into a real game, guiding players through a series of fun and energetic challenges.
A view of the floor mural in progress at night. The design includes a "Frog Hop" section with lily pads and other geometric shapes, all part of a larger course designed to test agility and stamina.
This section of the floor mural features a "Backward Walk" path and a colorful version of Twister. Every part of the course is designed to encourage different types of movement and play.
About this collection
I use specialized, exterior-grade emulsions sealed with anti-skid varnish, so these floor courses aren't just for looks—they are functional game zones designed to handle jump-landings, running, and heavy daily foot traffic without peeling.
These projects are about turning boring concrete into a 'battle course'—a blend of fitness and creativity. Whether it is a 45-foot track for a micro-school or a hopscotch-style game for a community park, the design focus is always on agility and stamina. I map out custom paths, like 'Frog Hops' or 'Walk the Vine,' that challenge coordination while keeping things visually chaotic and fun.
What goes into the work:
- Surface assessment: I check your flooring to ensure the paint bonds properly, whether it is concrete, tile, or paved outdoor areas.
- Game mapping: We plan the 'Speed Run' or 'Stamina' sections based on the available space and the age group using it.
- Durability first: Using high-quality weather-proof bases means these designs don't wash away in the first monsoon or under the harsh sun.
- Collaborative play: These aren't just for kids. I have designed these for adults too—sometimes even the teachers and parents want to jump in and race. If you have a grey floor that needs some colour and a lot of movement, let's talk.

I'm Sunflower, and I believe art should be a playground. My process is all about designing courses that make people want to move—frog hops, vine walks, and obstacle tracks that I paint right onto your floors.
