Large Scale Public Art & Mural Commissions

I transform blank urban walls into living canvases. From metro stations to city corners, I create art that stops traffic and sparks conversations.

A proud moment being felicitated by Mumbai Metro for winning second prize in the Majhi Metro Art competition. This award gave me the incredible opportunity to have my artwork displayed on trains and to paint an entire station.

Looking at my finished mural at the metro station, which was part of the Majhi Metro festival. It is a surreal feeling to see your art become a permanent part of the city's landscape, interacting with thousands of people every day.

Standing with my finished mural at the WEH metro station. This piece featured a surreal landscape with an astronaut and octopus tentacles, designed to bring a sense of wonder and imagination to the underground space.

This is the reality of temporary public art. Here I am, painting over a section of my own mural at the metro station, which was later replaced by a commercial advertisement. Though its life was short, it made many commuters smile.

A playful moment in front of my metro station mural. The vibrant colors and whimsical characters are reflected on the polished floor, creating an immersive experience for anyone passing by.

The process of creating the metro mural involved long hours and lots of paint. Here, I am adding details to the winding yellow path in the surreal landscape, working to bring the large scale vision to life.

A close up video tour of the details in my Mumbai Metro mural. The artwork is filled with fantastical elements like astronauts, colorful sea creatures, and abstract patterns, designed to be discovered over time.

About this collection

Public art lives in the real world, exposed to sun, rain, and crowds. For high-traffic areas like metro stations and exterior boundary walls, I use heavy-duty weather-proof acrylic emulsions like Asian Paints Apex and finish every project with protective varnishes to withstand the elements. It is not just about making a wall look good for a photo; it is about ensuring the art holds up for the thousands of people who walk past it every day.

When you commission a mural for a public or civic space, you are not just buying paint on a wall. You are creating a landmark. My process starts with understanding the space and the audience. Is this a transit hub in Mumbai that needs a quick, colorful boost? Or a quiet community street in Bangalore that needs a conversation starter?

I handle the full cycle: from site visits and surface preparation to the final sealing.

  • Durability: I focus on anti-skid additives for floor art and UV-resistant varnishes for exterior walls so the art lasts as long as possible.
  • Site Management: I work with my team to ensure we manage the area with minimal downtime, keeping the surroundings clean and accessible while we paint.
  • Storytelling: My style blends Indian folk art influences with modern street graffiti. I want the art to reflect the local spirit, whether it is through quirky characters, abstract patterns, or community-driven themes.

I have painted everything from metro station pillars to beach walls. If you have an idea, let's jam. Whether you are a local body, a business, or just someone who wants to fix a boring wall, I am open to working across India. The final artwork belongs to the city, but the process of making it happens with you.

I am Vritti, but my street art name is Vrek13. I live for the chaos of mural making—the paint-splattered clothes and the late-night breaks. If you have a massive wall and a wild idea, I am the one you want to call.
