Public Murals for Vibrant Community Spaces
I transform plain public walls into colourful stories. From school campuses to community landmarks, I create large scale murals that bring art and life to our shared spaces.
I'm so proud of this vibrant jungle themed mural we completed for the Karnataka State Reserve Police campus. The bright blue background is filled with colourful birds, flowers, and tropical leaves, creating a positive and lively environment.
Teamwork makes the dream work. Here is our group of volunteer artists in front of the finished KSRP mural. It was a fantastic experience collaborating with new painters to complete this large scale public art project.

This video shows our team in action during the beautification drive at the KSRP campus in Hubballi-Dharwad. You can see us mixing paints, sketching on the walls, and working together to bring the colourful design to life.
A group photo with the dedicated officers and the entire team of artists at the Karnataka State Reserve Police campus. It was a privilege to contribute our art to their space and be a part of this community effort.
A close up of my portrait mural of Jnanpith awardee Dr. D. R. Bendre. This public art piece, painted on a government school wall, serves as a tribute to the renowned poet from Dharwad.
This video captures the collaborative process of painting the Dr. D. R. Bendre portrait. It shows how we worked together, from outlining the sketch to adding the final details, to create this meaningful piece for the school.
About this collection
When I paint public murals, I focus on durable, weather-resistant acrylics that withstand our local climate. I often involve community members, officers, or students in the process, turning the painting session into a shared experience where we sketch, block, and detail the wall together rather than just treating it as a standard commission.
My Approach to Large-Scale Public Art
Painting a mural is different from painting on a small canvas. It is a commitment to the space and the people who walk past it every day. Whether it is the KSRP campus or a local government school, my process begins with understanding the environment. I use high-quality acrylic emulsions that hold pigment density well under direct sunlight and seasonal changes, ensuring the colours stay vibrant for years.
The Collaborative Process
I believe public art should be a conversation. Before I pick up a brush, I map out the layout with digital references or pencil sketches to ensure the composition fits the wall dimensions. My mural service involves a structured 4-step process:
- Base Blocking: Creating the foundation colours.
- Mid-Tones & Shading: Developing depth, especially in nature themes like jungle scenes or floral designs.
- Highlights: Bringing the artwork to life with light.
- Final Detailing: Adding the fine lines that define the subject, whether it is a portrait or traditional cultural motif.
Why Community Matters
For projects like the Dr. D. R. Bendre portrait, the goal wasn't just to paint; it was to honour a legacy. I love when people join in, pick up a brush, and learn that art is for everyone. It is not always easy—painting in the heat can be tiring—but the result is a landmark that belongs to the community. If you have a public wall in Hubballi, Dharwad, or Bengaluru that needs a story, let's talk about how we can make it happen.
