About Divine Connections: Spiritual & Deity Designs
I do not just trace a design, I try to capture the 'bhaav' (feeling) behind these divine figures. Whether it is the serene expression of Radha-Krishna or the powerful presence of Mahadev, each portrait requires immense focus and patience. I use a fine-tip cone to ensure the eyes and facial features are clear, because if the expression is not right, the soul of the design is lost.
Creating portraits in henna is a meditative process for me. It is not about filling space but about telling a story through art. I take the time to study the details, from the curve of a flute to the texture of a Shivling, ensuring every element resonates with your spiritual connection.
My Technique
I use 100% organic, triple-sifted henna for all my work. For deity portraits, which can take hours of concentrated work, this quality is non-negotiable. It ensures the design stays crisp without spreading, giving you a dark, deep stain that honors the sanctity of the image.
The Process
When you book a portrait-heavy design, we start with a consultation. I want to know which deity holds a special place in your heart. Is it the playful Bal Krishna, the eternal love of Radha-Krishna, or the strength of Maa Durga? Once we decide, I sketch a rough layout on paper to ensure the proportions are perfect before I begin on your skin.
Aftercare
A complex portrait needs protection. I provide a lemon-sugar sealant and medical-grade tape to keep the design safe while you sleep, ensuring the henna has enough time to develop its full, deep color.
For Your Guests
While I do the intricate bridal portraits myself, my team is trained to apply complementary spiritual motifs like Om, Swastika, or lotus symbols for your family and guests. It helps tie the theme of your wedding together seamlessly.
Vivek Mehndi Artist
I am Vivek, and for me, mehndi is 'ibadat' (worship). Since 2013, I have been turning palms into canvases for spiritual art, whether it is a portrait of your favorite deity or a symbol of faith. My hands work to bring your inner peace to the surface, one design at a time.
