Mehndi is my meditation. This collection features divine portraits of Radha-Krishna and Shiva-Parvati, sacred motifs, and spiritual patterns crafted to bring blessings to your special day.
A divine portrait of Radha and Krishna on the palm, with a gentle deer on the forearm. This design is filled with a sense of peace, love, and devotion.
This full-arm design is a tribute to Radha and Krishna's divine love story, set against an ornate palace backdrop with peacocks. The Sanskrit shloka adds a spiritual touch.
A design that beautifully merges divine and worldly love. One arm features Lord Shiva and Parvati with Nandi, while the other shows a couple on a swing, symbolizing a blessed union.
A powerful depiction of Shiv and Parvati with their son Ganesh, set within a 'jaali' (lattice) pattern. The lotus motifs on the fingers symbolize purity and divinity.
A portrait of Lord Shiva in a meditative pose, with his Trishul and a 'bilva' leaf. This design is perfect for Mahashivratri or for any devotee of Mahadev.
A simple yet beautiful portrait of Shiva and Parvati, capturing a moment of divine affection. The minimal patterns on the palm allow the portrait to be the main focus.
"Pyaar Mahadev sa, intezaar Sati sa." This full-arm portrait of Shiva and Parvati captures the essence of eternal love and devotion, a popular theme for bridal mehndi.
A stunningly detailed portrait of Lord Krishna playing his flute. The shading and fine lines bring a sense of calm and divinity to the design.
"The love of Shiva and Parvati is beyond time." This design shows the divine couple on a swing under the moon, a beautiful representation of their eternal bond.
This happy client chose a divine theme, with a beautiful portrait of Radha-Krishna on one hand and Lord Ganesha on the other to bless her new beginnings.
About Divine & Spiritual Art
These spiritual portraits require a steady hand and an ultra-fine 0.35mm cone to capture expressions accurately. A pair takes 3 to 4 hours to complete, so if you want a detailed Radha-Krishna or Shiva-Parvati design, please reach out at least two weeks before your date to ensure I have enough time for your request.
The Art of Divine Portraits
Creating portraits of deities like Shiva-Parvati or Radha-Krishna is not just about drawing; it is an act of devotion. I focus heavily on the facial expressions and the 'bhav' (emotion) in the eyes. To achieve this level of detail, I use ultra-fine 0.35mm needle-tip cones, which allow for the micro-detailing required for faces and the intricate 'jaali' (meshwork) patterns that often frame these portraits.
My Process and Materials
When you book a spiritual or storytelling design, the process starts with a discussion about which deity or scene resonates with you. I prepare my own natural henna paste 24 to 48 hours in advance, ensuring a deep, dark stain without chemicals. For these specific designs, I follow the Dual-Tip method, switching between cones to create the shading for the figures and the bold outlines for the surrounding motifs.
Caring for Your Design
Since these designs involve high-density work, proper care is crucial. I finish the application with a lemon-sugar sealant spray. To get the richest color, keep the mehndi on for at least 8 to 10 hours and avoid water for the first 24 hours. I always recommend keeping the skin warm after the henna is scraped off to help the oxidation process, ensuring your design looks its best for your ceremony in Rajouri Garden or anywhere in Delhi NCR.
