Traditional Indian Art Workshops
Ditch the textbooks and discover the stories behind Warli and Madhubani. I host hands-on art workshops across Mumbai where you can unwind, get creative, and take home a masterpiece of your own.
This video captures the joy of learning Warli art, a beautiful tribal art form known for its simple lines and depiction of community life. Listen to participants share how they enjoyed taking time for themselves to learn something new and relaxing.
We gave the classic game of Ludo a creative twist with Madhubani art. This clip shows young artists learning the traditional folk art style step-by-step to design their own vibrant, hand-painted game boards at our NMACC workshop.
About Traditional Indian Art Workshops
I make these workshops completely stress-free. Whether you are hosting a small group at home or planning a community event, I bring all the materials. From professional-grade acrylic paints and canvases to disposable aprons and table covers, I have you covered. You just show up, pick a theme like Warli or Madhubani, and enjoy two hours of focused, creative time without worrying about the cleanup.
Folk art like Warli and Madhubani is about patterns, rhythm, and storytelling. In my sessions, we focus on the meditative nature of these styles—the delicate lines of Warli, or the vibrant, geometric storytelling of Madhubani. It is a fantastic way for kids to practice precision and for adults to disconnect from their screens and get back to working with their hands.
I use modern pens and markers alongside traditional paints so everyone gets a clean, professional finish, even if they have never held a brush before. We have even adapted these styles for fun, functional projects. Think custom-painted Ludo boards, tote bags, or decorative plates that you can actually use at home.
Everything is included in the session fee. I handle the logistics, so you do not need to hunt for supplies or worry about mess. If you have a specific space in Mumbai, I can come to you. These sessions are perfect for birthday parties, corporate team-building, or just a relaxing weekend activity with friends. We keep the groups small so I can provide personal guidance to every participant, ensuring you leave with a piece of art you are genuinely proud of.
