Traditional Home Ceremonies & Entrance Decor
Bring the warmth of tradition to your doorstep. We create custom home pooja setups and authentic Chappra entrances that set the perfect, auspicious tone for your celebrations.
An elegant decor setup for a bridal pooja at home. The design uses traditional brass lamps (deepams), strings of jasmine and pink flowers, and a framed picture of a deity to create a serene and sacred space.
The entrance sets the tone for the entire event. For this wedding, I constructed a magnificent entrance arch using woven palm leaves and decorated it with marigold and tuberose garlands for a traditional and welcoming feel.

About Traditional Home Ceremonies & Entrances
Setting up a traditional Chappra or home pooja space requires precision to ensure it holds up against weather and foot traffic while looking picture-perfect. I handle everything—from sourcing fresh, fragrant marigolds and jasmine to installing the structural woven coconut leaves—so you can welcome your guests with a smile instead of worrying about the logistics of the entrance.
There is a special charm in home ceremonies that large banquet halls just cannot replicate. Whether it is an intimate bridal pooja or a traditional engagement, the entrance is the first thing guests see, and it sets the energy for the entire function.
My approach to these setups is rooted in authenticity. I use classic elements like banana stems, mango leaf torans, and traditional brass lamps (Kuthu Vilakku) to ground the space in culture. When it comes to the Chappra, I work with skilled artisans to weave the palm leaves, ensuring the structure is not only sturdy but also aesthetically rich.
I understand that at-home events can feel overwhelming when your living room is also your event venue. My team manages the entire process:
- Space Planning: I assess your home layout to create decor that fits without blocking walkways or feeling cluttered.
- Floral Longevity: I select flowers that stay fresh for the duration of your ceremony, using specific hydration techniques for humid or outdoor setups.
- Seamless Installation: We coordinate with your priest and family to ensure the decor is ready well before the muhurtham (auspicious time) begins.
From a simple 8x8 ft pooja backdrop to elaborate portico Chappra structures, my focus remains on creating a space that feels personal and sacred. My goal is to make your home feel like a festival venue while ensuring you can actually sit with your family for the ceremonies instead of running around to fix a loose garland.
