About this collection
When you order from us, you aren't getting products from a factory line. You are getting a bar that was hand-poured, cured, and wrapped by one of us in our Mumbai studio. We balance production schedules, shipping deadlines, and creative experiments, which is why we ask for a little lead time for custom requests to ensure every batch has enough time to cure properly.
Our Studio Philosophy
Vaanya Soap Co. was born in 2019 in a 10x10 loft studio, and while our space has grown, our methods have remained strictly old-school. We stick to the cold process method because it preserves the integrity of our plant-based oils and butters. This means every soap batch sits in our studio for at least four weeks to cure, which is essential for a hard, long-lasting bar that doesn't melt away in your shower.
The All-Girl Team
We operate as a small, all-girl team in Mumbai. You will find us here on our feet all day, from measuring out raw ingredients to carefully wrapping finished bars in eco-friendly kraft paper. We don't believe in mass-producing goods to fill shelves. We make what we can manage to do well, ensuring that the Haldi, Chandan, or Manjistha infusions we use in our 'Root & Ritual' collection are treated with the respect they deserve.
Why We Ask for Notice
Because we do not have an industrial setup, our timelines are tied to the physical curing process of our soaps. If you are ordering for an event, a wedding, or a corporate bulk requirement, we ask for a 5-6 week window for custom formulations. This allows us to create specific scents, colours, or branding without cutting corners on the chemistry of the soap. If you are picking from our existing stock, we can usually turn that around in 2-3 weeks.
