Why I Do What I Do
I started Vaanya Soap Co. in a tiny Mumbai studio, and now we’re a small, all-girl team making bath and body stuff with our own hands. Everything is crafted in small batches - so what you get is always fresh, never mass-produced.
What Makes Us Different
- We stick to cold process soap bars, which means no heat, just patience. This keeps the oils and butters full of goodness and makes the bars super moisturizing.
- Our products are mostly vegan skincare products, except for lip balms (they have beeswax).
- We use only plant-based ingredients - oils, butters, clays, and pure essential oils. No synthetic fragrances or colors.
- Packaging is plastic-free, biodegradable, and compostable. We’re serious about being eco-conscious.
- Zero-waste soap? Yup, our Funfetti Soap is made from upcycled shavings, so nothing gets tossed.
Inspired by Ayurveda
Our ‘Root & Ritual’ collection is all about Ayurvedic bath rituals. We infuse herbs like Manjistha, Haldi, Chandan, and Kesar for weeks before making them into soap bars. The Haldi Chandan Kesar bar is a favorite for its brightening and calming vibe.

My Story
Hey, I'm Lavanya! Vaanya Soap Co. started with just me, a tiny Mumbai loft, and a stubborn love for natural things. Now, it's me and my all-girl crew, running on coffee and chaos, making soaps the slow, old-school way. Our 'Root & Ritual' line is my ode to dadi-nani ke nuskhe (grandma’s secrets) - think Haldi, Chandan, Tulsi, all soaked in oils for weeks. Feels wild seeing our soaps reach places like Abu Dhabi. Thanks for cheering us on!
