When I set up a character theme, I do not just hang balloons. I build a complete scene using an 8x8ft custom printed backdrop, thematic character cutouts, and coordinated balloon garlands to match the show or movie. Whether it is a Cocomelon setup or a jungle theme, the goal is to make the space look exactly like the world your child watches on screen, complete with custom cake pedestals.
How I Build Your Child's Theme
I focus on the details that make a theme authentic. For my signature character setups, I use a high-resolution 8x8ft flex print backdrop mounted on a sturdy wooden frame. I place 4 to 5 high-density foam character cutouts around the stage, usually between 3ft and 4ft tall, to give the kids a chance to take photos with their favorite figures.
What Is Included
- Balloon Styling: I use about 600 to 800 balloons for a full look, mixing matte pastel and metallic chrome finishes to match your color palette.
- Stage Displays: I use a set of 3 cylindrical pedestals for the cake and treats, wrapped in vinyl that coordinates with the theme.
- Lighting: I add 2 LED PAR cans to wash the backdrop with light, ensuring the setup looks bright even in indoor function halls.
- Flooring: To keep the stage area clean and defined, I lay down an 8x4ft strip of artificial grass or a theme-printed mat.
