About Advanced Show Jumping
Our advanced show jumping program requires a commitment of 8 to 12 weeks, consisting of 24 to 30 intensive sessions. This training goes beyond just jumping height; we focus heavily on the technical nuances of stride counting and turn management, alongside conditioning drills like riding without stirrups to build the core strength necessary for navigating a full course effectively.
Technical Proficiency and Discipline
Show jumping at the advanced level is a test of both rider and horse. At Uma Equestrian Academy, our training environment is built to prepare you for this reality. We move you from ground poles to 60-80cm verticals, but the focus remains on the 'how' rather than just the 'what'. You will learn to identify stride distances, manage turns, and maintain the rhythm required to clear obstacles cleanly.
The Curriculum
This is not a casual ride. Our Level 2 course covers:
- Advanced Pace Control: Mastery of canter and gallop with full seat security.
- Conditioning: Riding without stirrups to develop deep core strength and balance.
- Course Navigation: Learning to ride a full circuit with consistent stride counting.
- Equine Care: Understanding lameness, nutrition, and advanced tack usage (martingales, boots).
Beyond the Saddle
We believe that true horsemanship involves understanding your partner. Part of your advanced training involves hands-on stable management. You will learn to groom, tack up, and assess your horse's condition, as we believe a rider who cannot care for their horse cannot truly lead them. Our facilities at Uma Public School, Greater Noida, include a dedicated jumping arena designed for this level of training.
