Our Story: From 2016 to Today
From a tiny batch in Andheri back in 2016 to the vibrant TDA family we are today, this is our story of passion, sweat, and finding the rhythm together.
In 2025, we ran 12 active batches every month and added a new kids' batch. This year was all about growth and consistency.
We trained over 1500 students across all age groups in 2025. It's been a year of building our community and sharing our love for dance.
A major milestone in 2025 was launching a full fledged Bollywood batch in Andheri. We are so excited to keep growing.
A throwback to 2016 and our association with Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares. It was rewarding to train new students to industry standards.
The Aavesham gang. Our weekday regular batch students learned this routine in August. They are flawed but having fun, tired but triumphant.

About Our Journey & Milestones
People often ask if we are just about trending reels. We aren't. Our growth from 2016 to today is built on teaching real technique, whether it's your first step or your hundredth. We focus on building your foundation so you can actually dance, not just copy steps for a video. Come drop by for a trial and see the energy for yourself.
When I started TDA in a small space in Andheri East, I had one goal: to create a place where dance feels like therapy. Over the years, we have grown to train over 1500 students, from kids finding their rhythm to adults who thought they had two left feet.
We don't just teach steps; we build a community. Whether we are hosting our annual CRAZE showcase or running daily batches at Studio Youmania in Malad and The Ace Studio in Andheri, the focus remains the same—safety, technique, and no judgement. We use sprung wooden floors to keep your knees safe because we want you to dance for years, not just for a month.
Our journey has been marked by milestones like our association with Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares and seeing our students shine on stage, but the real reward is watching someone walk in stressed after a long workday and leave smiling. I’m Tijo. I started this academy back in 2016 to create a space where dance feels like therapy, not a chore. Whether you're 4 or 60, our studio is a no-judgement zone where you'll walk in stressed and walk out smiling with the TDA fam.
