About Hand-Painted Character & Pop Art
Here is the reality of character art: it is a slow, detailed process. Because we hand-paint every element—from Pooh Bear’s expressions to intricate line work—this is not a 30-minute job. Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours in our chair. We do not use stickers, so what you see is genuine artistic precision, not a factory-printed template.

Most salons use sticker transfers or stamps to speed up the process. At Tifarra, we refuse to do that. When you choose a character, a portrait, or a complex pop art pattern, we treat your nail like a canvas. This requires a steady hand and hours of focus, which is why we insist on quality over speed.
The Tifarra Prep Process
Before we touch the art, we ensure the base is perfect. We start every session with a Russian manicure, which involves dry e-file work to clean your cuticle area deeply. This creates a high-end, clean look where the nail meets the skin, making the final art pop and ensuring the set grows out neatly for up to 6 weeks. If the prep isn't clean, the art looks messy, and we won't settle for that.
