About Hand-Painted Masterpieces
Hand-painting these portraits is a meticulous process that takes serious patience, usually requiring 3 to 4.5 hours depending on the complexity of the design. Because I am painting directly onto your nails or a custom set, we will need to chat beforehand about your specific image reference to ensure we capture the details—and the likeness—perfectly before I even pick up my brush.
It is not just about applying color; it is about miniaturizing art. Whether you want a hyper-realistic 3D leopard portrait, an intricate bridal face, or a scene from Beauty and the Beast, the challenge lies in shading and proportion on such a small surface. I treat every nail as a standalone masterpiece.
The Process
For portrait work, I recommend using gel extensions (Gel-X or Hard Gel) as the base because they provide a stable, smooth, and long-lasting foundation for the artwork. If you are not in the mood for a full salon session, I also hand-paint these intricate designs onto custom press-on sets that I can ship to you anywhere in India. This way, you get the same salon-quality art without the chair time.
Maintenance
Since this is detailed work, these nails act like delicate jewellery. Avoid harsh chemicals and use gloves when cleaning to keep the hand-painted details crisp and the polish glossy.
