This project is close to my heart, as I redesigned my Nani's gold bangles. I wanted to create something I could wear to always keep her memory with me.
The final piece. I turned my Nani's bangles into these intricate jhumkis, adding small gold jhumkis, red rubies, and white ghungris. The top is enhanced with colored stones in a lotus flower design.

When you bring in a single earring or a worn-out bangle, my goal is to make it functional for your current style without losing its soul. I look at how we can shift the setting or add a modern element—like a fresh pearl drop or a touch of meenakari enamel—to make the piece feel new while keeping your original gold intact. It is not about replacing your jewellery, but about making sure you can enjoy it every day.
Whether you have a pair of lonely earrings, a broken bracelet, or an old ring you rarely wear, these small items often carry the most stories. My refurbishing process focuses on versatility. I often take rigid bangles and convert them into flexible, comfortable designs, or transform heavy, traditional chandbalis into lightweight jhumkis that are perfect for all-day wear.
When we work on your pieces, we look at the life of the jewellery. Can we add a small diamond charm to a bracelet to give it a modern edge? Should we change the enamel colour to match your current wardrobe? Sometimes, the most stunning results come from simple, effective changes like re-stringing pearls or swapping a dull stone for a vibrant, carved emerald.
My studio in Malad is where we discuss these possibilities. I do not believe in over-engineering a piece if a minimal tweak does the job.
