Hand-Painted Decor and Unique Custom Art
When the crochet needles go down, the brushes come out. From quirky stone paperweights to custom fabric art, I love filling blank spaces with a bit of color and madness.
How about a sweet treat that lasts forever? This video shows me painting a wooden magnet to look like an ice cream cone with colorful sprinkles.
This is my stone painting art. I turned a simple rock into a mini fish tank, complete with little orange fish and bubbles. It can be used as a paperweight or just a fun decoration.
This was an order for some fabric painting. The video shows the process of painting a floral design onto fabric, from the black outline to the blended, colorful final piece.
I love to draw and paint mandalas too! This piece is filled with bright colors and features a jar full of hearts next to the intricate mandala design.
A new painting project is coming soon! Here's the first step of my rock painting, where I've applied the base coat of light blue and the white and black outlines for the fish tank.
A satisfying video of me coloring in a mandala pattern. I enjoy both drawing and coloring them, as the repetitive patterns are very relaxing.
About From My Paintbrush
Whether it is those river stone paperweights or the mandala sketches, every piece I paint is sealed with a gloss varnish so the colors stay vibrant, even on your desk. I usually work on custom requests like magnets or fabric designs in small batches because drying time is key, so let’s chat if you have a specific deadline in mind!
I believe art should be functional, not just decorative. When I take a simple river stone and turn it into a fish tank paperweight, I want it to be something you actually use. My Lippan art, which uses clay and tiny mirrors, is perfect for adding an earthy, traditional vibe to your walls, and it is finished with a high-gloss coat to make sure it lasts.
For fabric painting, I stick to pigments that stay put and do not crack. Whether you want a floral design on a handkerchief or a mandala pattern on a tote, I do all the sketching and coloring by hand—zero prints, just pure effort. Because I am a mom juggling the house and the craft table, my process is a bit of a 'bhool bhulaiya,' but that is how I keep each piece one-of-a-kind. If you have a specific pattern or color theme in mind, let me know! I love a challenge, whether it is a custom-painted magnet or a piece of wall art for your room.
Fatema Katib
I am Fatema, and honestly, my craft table is just my own little bhool bhulaiya. One minute I am handling the kids, and the next, I am deep into painting a mandala or finishing a stone art piece. I just love creating things that make people smile, and I put a bit of that everyday madness into everything I make.
