About Artisanal Ceramic Planters
When choosing your ceramic planter, consider the potting surface carefully. My stoneware collection includes pre-drilled drainage holes and matching base plates, which are essential for keeping your desk or shelf dry. Because each piece is fired in a studio kiln, you will notice slight variations in the glaze—that is the signature of a truly handmade item, not a defect.
These planters are designed to be more than just homes for your greenery. I work with studio potters who specialize in stoneware clay, which is fired at high temperatures to ensure it remains significantly more durable than standard terracotta.
Why Stoneware Matters
Unlike mass-produced clay pots, stoneware is dense and non-porous. This means your planter won't 'sweat' as much, keeping your surfaces protected while maintaining a cleaner look over time.
Finding Your Fit
- For the Work Desk: My Marley collection features hand-painted geometric patterns that bring a bit of focus and artistry to long work hours.
- For the Statement Piece: The Agate series offers a unique marble glaze. Because of the way the glaze is applied in the kiln, the blue and gold swirls are always unique—you are getting a one-of-a-kind piece.
- For Tight Spaces: If you lack shelf room, my wall-mounted ceramic pockets are a great solution. They feature a keyhole slot for easy hanging, but I have designed the bases to be flat, so they can also double as bookends or tabletop decor.
My goal is to help you create a sanctuary that feels personal, and these pieces are intended to be a part of your daily rhythm, whether you are watering your succulents or simply admiring the craftsmanship on your windowsill.
