Community Impact & Recognition

We believe reading and sharing are acts of kindness that ripple outward. From donating books to schools in Ladakh to supporting libraries during floods, we are proud to foster a community where giving is just as important as reading.

Our book donation drive for a school in Ladakh was a huge success, thanks to our generous young members. They even wrote personal messages for their new friends far away.

When a fellow library in Chennai was devastated by floods, our community came together. Here are our young members helping to pack boxes of books to send their way.

Our kids were so excited to pick out books to share with the children in Chennai. This is what community is all about: helping each other in times of need.

The books we sent to the "Hooked on Books" library in Chennai, ready to find new homes and bring joy to children who lost their own.

We were so thrilled to be featured in OurBangalore Weekly! It was a proud moment to see our little readers and their families celebrated in the newspaper.

We're in the news again! Deccan Herald featured our winter donation drive, highlighting how our community comes together to share the spirit of giving.

I was honored to be featured on She CEO, a platform that celebrates women entrepreneurs. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the story and passion behind ThinkBox Library.

About this collection

Every book on our shelves has a story, but some of the most meaningful ones happen when our members give back. We frequently organize donation drives where our young readers learn the joy of sharing by sending books to libraries in need, like our efforts for schools in Ladakh or those affected by Chennai floods. It teaches children that books are not just for keeping; they are for connecting us to peers across the country.

Our library is more than a room full of books. It is a living, breathing universe where children in Bengaluru learn to care for their wider community. When we launched our book donation drives, we were amazed to see our young members carefully selecting books to send to their new friends in far away places, often including handwritten notes that carried the spirit of the library across state lines.

Recognition and Growth

We are honored by the recognition we have received over the past 16 years, including nominations for the KSP Awards for Best Bookstore & Library in India. Being featured in publications like Deccan Herald and OurBangalore Weekly has been a highlight, not because of the fame, but because it shines a light on the beautiful, curious children who make this place their second home.

Why Community Matters

We hold a firm belief that education should be accessible. Our outreach isn't limited to book drives; we also host workshops, literary events, and field trips for preschools like Vibgyor High, Footprint, and Wayside. These interactions transform the library into a vibrant social space where shy voices grow bold and curiosity is the standard. Whether it is judging a literary competition at Capstone School or welcoming students for an interactive storytelling session, our goal remains simple: to create a space where kids feel seen, heard, and excited to explore the world through pages.

I'm Bhakti, and for 16 years, I have watched this library become a second home for kids in Malleshpalya. We are not just a place to borrow books; we are a community where families connect, kids learn to care for others, and little ones discover the magic of stories every single day.
