Featured: Highlights from Our Reading and Learning Journey
A look at the moments that define us—from interactive storytelling to hands-on workshops that turn reading into a lifelong adventure.
This is the magic I live for! Here, we are bringing a story to life during our 'Ganpati ki Gaathayein' session. I believe in interactive learning where children don't just listen, but become part of the story. This kind of playful engagement helps build imagination and social skills.
Our Debate Club is designed to give children the confidence to express their thoughts clearly and effectively. We focus on essential skills like research, public speaking, voice modulation, and body language, preparing them to dazzle on any stage. This program is perfect for kids aged 8 to 14.
What an incredible experience it was to be a speaker at the Jaipur Literature Festival! Being part of the JLF Outreach Program allowed me to connect with so many children and share the joy of storytelling. It's moments like these that enrich me to the core and fuel my passion.
Look at these happy faces from our Christmas celebration! We combined festive songs, an interactive story about Santa, and a fun craft session. Events like these are all about creating joyful memories and making learning feel like a party.
Here is a beautiful moment from our Ganesh Chaturthi workshop, where children are making their very own Ganesha idols with clay. I love providing these hands-on, sensory experiences that connect children to our culture and unleash their creativity.
I feel so overwhelmed with joy looking back at our journey. From just 400 books in my apartment to a community of thousands, it has been a dream come true. This is my heartfelt thank you to every child and parent who has been part of our story.
Our Bookyardigans Book Club has been one of my most rewarding experiences, with 9 seasons and over 240 books read together! We offer both online and offline batches for kids from 5 to 14 years, creating a space to discuss stories and give wings to their thoughts.
About Featured
These photos are a snapshot of the community we have built over the last 15 years in Gurgaon. Whether we are hosting a debate club session, crafting during festive workshops, or diving into stories, the goal is always the same: creating a safe, joyous space for children to grow.
What started in my apartment with just 400 books has grown into a space where kids come to learn, debate, and create. This featured collection showcases the different ways we engage children.
Why Our Workshops Feel Different
- Interactive Storytelling: We don't just read books; we act them out. From Ganpati ki Gaathayein sessions to our Christmas celebrations, we turn stories into experiences.
- The Bookyardigans Club: This is where we discuss stories and give wings to thoughts. Over 9 seasons, we have read hundreds of books together, both online and offline.
- Skill-Based Learning: We move beyond books into Debate Clubs for public speaking, Brain Gym for logical thinking, and art modules that connect kids to our culture.
How We Work
I believe in small batches—usually just 8 kids—because I want to know every child personally. Whether you are looking for a debate mentor, a creative writing partner, or a simple space for your child to find their next favorite book, our door in Sector 50 is always open. My hope is that your child leaves our sessions not just with new skills, but with a new curiosity about the world.
