About Join a Workshop: Learn with Me!
You don’t need any experience to join—really. Whether we’re painting mugs at a cozy café in Bangalore or connecting online to upcycle old planters, I break everything down into simple steps. My goal isn’t to make you a pro painter overnight, but to help you lose the fear of the blank canvas and just enjoy the process of creating.
Learn to Paint with The Yellow Brush
I believe everyone has a creative side, even if you haven't held a brush since school. My workshops are designed to be a safe, fun space where we can mess up, laugh, and walk away with something beautiful.
What to Expect
Whether you join my in-person sessions at spots like Sarjapur SOCIAL or St. Marks Road, or hop onto an online Zoom call, the vibe is always relaxed. We cover the basics:
- Preparation: How to prep different surfaces like plastic, ceramic, or glass.
- Composition: Learning to map out your design before you start painting.
- Technique: My signature expressive line-painting style and how to mix your own colors.
- Finishing: How to varnish your piece so it lasts.
Offline vs. Online
- In-Person: These are limited-seat events at partner cafes. The price is all-inclusive, meaning you get the materials, some food and drinks, and the chance to paint in a great social environment.
- Online: Perfect if you can't make it to a venue or prefer painting in your pajamas. I provide a materials list after registration, and if you miss the live session, I provide a recording so you can catch up at your own pace.
Why Join?
We’ve painted everything from tote bags to bottle lamps. It’s not just about the art; it’s about taking a few hours to switch off from the daily grind. Don’t worry about your skill level—I’m there to guide you through every brushstroke. Let's make some magic together.

I’m Tanvi, and if you’ve ever wanted to paint but felt intimidated, my workshops are for you. I’m usually covered in paint, chatting with my Papa about the next project, and genuinely excited to help you turn a blank mug or a boring pot into something special.
