About The Finished Product: Ready-to-Wear Sarees
When you're heading to a wedding or a puja, the last thing you want is a messy drape. I handle the tedious work of measuring, pleating, and steam-setting your saree before you wear it, ensuring your pallu stays firm and your pleats don't slip even after hours of socialising.
The process is designed to save you from last-minute panic. Whether it is a lightweight chiffon, georgette, or a heavy, traditional Kanjivaram, the preparation starts with your specific measurements. For local clients, you can drop off your saree at my Matunga studio. If you are outside Mumbai, simply courier your fabric with your drape-style preference.
I offer two delivery formats to suit your plans:
- Hanger Folding: This is ideal for local use where you need the saree ready for immediate wear upon delivery.
- Box Folding: A compact, travel-friendly method where the pleats are locked and reinforced. This is perfect if you are carrying your saree in a suitcase for a destination wedding.
I work 'romba porumaiya' (with a lot of patience) to create precise pleats. For heavy silks, I create 'kutti kuttiya' or tiny, high-density pleats that sit flush against the waist to minimize bulk. Every saree is professionally steam-ironed, and I add strategic safety pins at the shoulder, center tuck, and hip area so you have total peace of mind while you move.
