Whether you need a sharp Gujarati Seedha Pallu or a traditional Maharashtrian Shalu, I specialize in getting regional styles right so you can focus on your event.

Our client looking lovely in her pre-pleated Banarasi Maharashtrian saree for her engagement. The drape is styled traditionally with a shawl, and our service ensured it was easy for her to wear.

For this client, we created a unique double drape look with two sarees. This style requires careful pleating and setting, which we handled to create a seamless and artistic final appearance.

About Diverse Draping Styles

When I prepare regional drapes like the Gujarati Seedha Pallu or a Maharashtrian Shalu, I focus on the internal pinning structure. I strategically secure the hip and shoulder points so the fabric stays flush against your frame, allowing you to move freely without worrying about the pallu slipping or losing its structure.

Different regional styles require different techniques to ensure they look authentic and stay comfortable all day. A Gujarati drape, for instance, needs the front pallu to sit at the right angle so it does not pull at the shoulder, while a Maharashtrian Shalu demands a specific tucking technique to maintain that signature silhouette.

I treat every saree as a unique piece of fabric. When you bring your saree to my studio in Matunga East, I take the time to understand the fabric type. Whether it is a stiff Kanjeevaram that needs careful handling or a flowing Georgette that requires precise pleat setting, my goal is to ensure the drape feels natural. For clients outside Mumbai, I accept couriered sarees and send them back ready-to-wear with box folding, ensuring the pleats remain intact during transit.

Beyond just pinning and folding, I focus on the ergonomics of the drape. I want you to feel confident, not restricted. If you have a specific event—be it a wedding, a traditional ceremony, or a festival—we can discuss the style that best suits your outfit and your comfort level. My priority is to save you the stress of getting ready so you can enjoy the occasion.
