Blending traditions beautifully. Whether you are a Maharashtrian bride embracing South Indian roots or looking for creative fusion styles, I am here to ensure your drape is perfect.

This video shows me draping a Maharashtrian bride for her wedding to her South Indian groom. It was a pleasure to create a traditional South Indian drape for her, blending cultures beautifully on their special day.

This Maharashtrian bride wanted a classic South Indian look for her wedding. I draped her in this lovely peach and purple Kanjivaram saree, complete with traditional temple jewelry, to create an authentic and beautiful bridal style.

For her reception, this Iyer bride chose a stunning off-white and gold saree draped in a Kannadiga style. The addition of a sheer veil and diamond jewelry created a look of modern royalty.

The bride playfully shows off her sheer veil, which complements the elegant Kannadiga-style drape. This fusion look was perfect for her reception, combining grace with a touch of modern flair.

This video captures the transformation of a Maharashtrian bride embracing a South Indian bridal look. Her joy and confidence in the final result, with the perfectly draped saree and jewelry, is wonderful to see.

About this collection

When you are blending two different cultural traditions, the drape needs to be precise to honour both styles. I coordinate directly with your makeup artist and hairstylist to ensure your pallu placement does not interfere with your jewellery or hair, so you can move confidently throughout the ceremony without worrying about pins.

Fusion weddings are special, but they often come with a specific challenge: feeling comfortable in a style you might not have grown up wearing. Whether you are an Iyer bride stepping into a Kannadiga style or a Maharashtrian bride opting for a Kanjivaram, my job is to bridge that gap.

I work with you to understand the balance you want. We can mix regional techniques—like blending a traditional Nivi drape with a heavy Kanjivaram, or adjusting the pleats for a Nauvari-inspired look using a non-traditional silk fabric. My process involves:

  • Fabric Handling: I know how to manage heavy silks, which drape very differently than lighter materials. I use specific structural techniques to ensure the fabric sits flat and doesn't add bulk.
  • Contouring: If you prefer a more modern, gown-like silhouette, I use advanced pinning to create a sleek, slimming effect that still respects the traditional look of the saree.
  • Secure Pinning: For fusion styles that involve extra layering or veils, I use invisible double-lock pinning. This keeps everything secure for long hours, whether you are sitting for rituals or dancing at the reception.

I treat your saree with the same care I would my own. Before we even begin, I check the weight and texture of your fabric to ensure we choose a draping style that stays put all day. My goal is to make sure that when you look in the mirror, you see yourself reflected in the tradition.
