About Bridal & Groom Portraits
I don't believe in forcing awkward poses or hours of standing still. My portrait sessions are short, relaxed, and centred around making you feel comfortable. Whether we're using the soft morning light while you get ready or taking ten minutes away from the reception chaos, the goal is to capture who you actually are, not just how you look.
Your Portraits, Your Way
Many couples dread the 'portrait session' because they fear it will be stiff and staged. My approach is the opposite. I work in a documentary style, which means I’m looking for the moments that happen naturally between the planned shots.
What to Expect
Whether you are wearing a traditional Maharashtrian Nauvari saree, a heavy lehenga, or a modern gown, my focus is on the details that matter to you.
- The Getting Ready Phase: This is often where the most intimate portraits happen. The quiet moments before the ceremony, the way your jewellery catches the light, or a quick laugh with your bridesmaids.
- Couples Portraits: We usually dedicate about 30 to 45 minutes for these. It’s not about me telling you exactly where to put your hands; it’s about creating an environment where you feel at ease enough to interact naturally.
- Cultural Focus: I have a soft spot for traditional ceremonies. I love documenting the specific elegance of a Paithani saree or the rituals of a South Indian wedding. I’m comfortable in both formal settings and outdoor destination weddings, having shot extensively across Pune, Mumbai, and Goa.
Why Candid Matters
If you look at the images in this gallery, you’ll see the difference. A portrait is more than just a photo of your face; it is a snapshot of your personality. By keeping things candid, I ensure that ten years from now, you aren't just looking at a pretty photo, but remembering exactly how you felt in that moment.
If you are planning an intimate wedding or a large celebration and want photography that feels real, let's chat about what you have in mind.
