About Bridal & Groom Portraits
A portrait session on your wedding day should never feel like a chore. I typically block out 20 to 30 minutes for a relaxed, guided shoot where we step away from the crowd. I focus on natural light and your genuine comfort, ensuring you don't feel stiff or posed, but exactly as you are when you are happiest.
Portraiture in a wedding context is rarely about being perfect. It is about capturing the weight of the moment. Whether you are wearing a traditional Nauvari saree or a sharp black sherwani, my goal is to frame you in a way that feels like you.
For many couples, the idea of a dedicated portrait session feels intimidating. You might worry about looking stiff or feeling out of place. This is why I keep these sessions light and quick. We will find a quiet corner at your venue, away from the chaos, where you can breathe. I provide gentle direction, using small prompts to help you laugh or share a quiet look, rather than forcing stiff poses.
I pay close attention to the details you spent months choosing. The intricate embroidery on your blouse, the way your jewellery catches the sun, or the specific drape of your Paithani; these elements tell a part of your story. I often lean into natural light to give the images a soft, timeless quality, moving away from harsh artificial lighting unless the scene demands it.
If you are camera-shy, do not worry. I have worked with hundreds of couples who initially felt uncomfortable. My process is to let you interact naturally with your partner. When you forget I am there, that is when the magic happens. These portraits are intended to be heirlooms, preserved for your family to look back on years from now. They should reflect the raw emotion of your day, not just the outfit you wore.
