Interactive School Music Programs & Festive Events in Mumbai
I help schools transform assemblies and festive celebrations into interactive musical journeys. We use rhythm, storytelling, and movement to make every occasion a hands-on learning experience.
The little learners of JBCN put on a fantastic musical to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti under my guidance. We gave the theme of "See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil" a fun, modern twist.
Our weeks have been filled with Christmas cheer all across our schools. Here I am sharing a festive story with an engaged group of children, surrounded by the magic of the holiday season.
Three is company! Here I am with my fellow teacher Karen D'Souza and Mahera Sham of JBCN Parel for a special collaboration. We created "The Monsoon Magic," a beautiful tale about teamwork, verse, and music.
About School Programs & Festive Fun
When I step into a school auditorium, my goal is never just to entertain. I want the children to live the story. Whether it is a Gandhi Jayanti assembly or a festive Christmas session, we use rhythm, movement, and vocal narration to turn passive listeners into active participants. You will not find children sitting still here because, quite honestly, that is not how they learn best.
How We Bring Stories to Life
I combine my experience as an early childhood educator with the 'Story-Song-Craft' model to ensure engagement from the back row to the front. We do not just read books; we turn them into a full-on adventure.
- Musical Storytelling: Every narrative is accompanied by live singing and rhythm. We use shakers, drums, and scarves to help kids feel the beat of the story. This is how we bring tales like 'The Monsoon Magic' to life, working with educators to ensure the theme connects with the students.
- Movement & Coordination: Getting up and acting out the story is part of the process. It helps with motor skills and spatial awareness. For events like Gandhi Jayanti, we gave the 'See no evil, Hear no evil, Speak no evil' theme a modern, playful twist that made the message stick for the younger students.
- Hands-on Crafts: We end our sessions with an activity that connects back to the theme, like painting or weaving. It gives children a tangible artifact to take home, keeping the memory of the event alive long after the music stops.
Why Schools Choose This
Many programs focus on performance, but I focus on participation. My goal is to support teachers and schools in creating environments where students feel safe to express themselves through music. Whether it is a large group for a national holiday or a smaller workshop, the framework is designed to build teamwork and cultural appreciation. We provide all the necessary sound equipment, props, and craft materials, making the planning stress-free for the school administration.
