My process starts with testing your recipe to ensure it works on camera, then scripting a shot list that prioritizes sensory details—the golden crisp of a dosa, the steam rising from fresh rasam, or the slow pour of ghee. Before we start filming, we define the mood using my collection of rustic, antique props to ensure the final result feels real and relatable rather than staged.
How I Create Your Reels
I don't believe in generic cooking videos. Whether you are a cloud kitchen, a health food brand, or a local restaurant, the goal is to capture the 'sizzle' that makes a customer hungry the moment they see your content.
The Production Workflow:
- Concept & Strategy: We start by discussing your brand story. I don't just film; I storyboard the movement, whether it’s a cinematic recipe video or a quirky stop-motion animation, to ensure the pacing fits your social media goals.
- Recipe Development: If you need a recipe to go with the video, I handle the full testing process. I specialize in vegetarian and vegan dishes, ensuring they are not just photogenic but actually delicious.
- Cinematography & Styling: I shoot on Sony Alpha gear with prime lenses for that signature deep depth of field. My setup includes access to my own collection of ceramic plates, brass vessels, and linen fabrics to give your brand a unique, high-end look without losing the 'homemade' charm.
- Post-Production: The final cut includes basic ASMR audio capture of cooking sounds, professionally color-graded in Lightroom and Premiere, and formatted for 9:16 vertical feeds.
