Drinks aren't just about thirst—they are about the mood, the condensation on the glass, and the ritual behind the pour. Let’s capture the story in your glass.

About Beverage Artistry

Liquids are tricky because glass creates reflections and condensation vanishes quickly. When I shoot, I use a mix of backlighting to make teas and juices glow. I always keep a spray bottle of water and glycerin handy to get those perfectly realistic water droplets that stay put for the camera.

There is something quiet and poetic about a beverage. Whether it is the slow, deliberate drip of traditional South Indian filter coffee or the bright, refreshing splash of mango juice, every drink has a rhythm. My approach to beverage photography is about finding that rhythm and showing it to the world.

I pay close attention to the way light interacts with the liquid. For cocktails and iced drinks, I love using backlighting. It turns a simple glass into something that glows, highlighting textures like ice bubbles and fruit pulp that often get lost in flat lighting. For warm, comforting drinks like hot chocolate or adrak chai, I focus on the mood. I capture the steam rising, the texture of the cocoa powder dusting, or the way a biscuit looks when dipped.

When working with cafes or beverage brands, I go beyond just the product. We look at the context. Are we telling a story of a morning ritual, a festive celebration, or a cozy evening? I bring my collection of props to the shoot. Whether using brass vessels for that traditional feel, or modern, clean ceramics for a minimalist aesthetic, I build a set that feels authentic to your brand.

If you are a cloud kitchen looking to showcase your new menu or a brand needing high-quality social media assets, let’s talk. I handle everything from the initial mood board to the final retouched image, ensuring the final visual makes your audience crave that first sip.

I see a glass of filter coffee and I do not just see a caffeine fix. I see the morning sun, the brass filter, and the ritual my paati perfected. I am Sanjana. I do not just photograph drinks; I capture the feeling they bring, whether it is the comfort of rainy-day chai or the sharpness of a well-poured cocktail.
