Intricate Ink Art: Mandalas & Stippling
My pen and ink works are meditations on paper. I specialize in detailed mandala geometry and fine-point stippling portraits, crafted to bring a sense of balance and focus to your space.
A semi-circle mandala drawn in my sketchbook. Making mandalas is a form of meditation for me, helping me concentrate and find peace.
A close up view of the detailed patterns in my mandala art. I use fine-tipped pens to create the delicate lines, dots, and swirls.
Another perspective on my half-mandala, showing the texture of the ink on paper. I offer workshops for anyone interested in learning the basics of this art form.
A complete floral mandala, ready for a new home. I am planning to host my first mandala workshop, so feel free to message me if you're interested in learning.
This black and white mandala showcases a variety of patterns, from leaves to dots. Each section is carefully planned to create a balanced and harmonious design.
An angled shot of my floral mandala, highlighting the depth created by using different patterns and line weights. These designs are perfect for creating a calming atmosphere.
An "Inner Peace Mandala" I designed. The symbol in the center represents balance, and the surrounding patterns are meant to be meditative to look at.
About this collection
Stippling isn't a quick process—it is the art of building depth, shade, and texture using thousands of individual ink dots. Because I work with archival-quality Sakura Micron pens on heavy-weight cartridge paper, every piece I create is built to be a permanent, fade-resistant part of your home decor, distinct from mass-produced digital prints.
The Meditative Process
When I sit down to draw a mandala, I am not just creating a pattern; I am practicing focus. The repetitive nature of geometric shapes is my way of hitting pause on the world outside. Each piece begins with a blank sheet of heavy-weight cartridge paper and grows layer by layer, starting from the center and expanding outward.
Stippling Portraits
Unlike traditional sketching, stippling allows me to create hyper-realistic portraits using only dots. It is a slow, patient technique that translates photographs into lasting ink art. Whether it is a portrait of a loved one or a symbolic hand-holding piece, this medium captures emotion through precision.
Customization & Details
If you have a vision, we can shape it together. I work primarily with monochrome palettes but can incorporate metallic accents—like gold or silver markers—to add depth and contrast to the geometry.
- Materials: I use professional Sakura Micron pens for archival quality.
- Paper: Heavy-weight cartridge paper is standard to prevent ink bleed and ensure longevity.
- Delivery: Pieces are delivered unframed, rolled or flat-packed, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that matches your interior space.
I generally ship across India from my studio in Delhi. If you are looking for a piece that carries a story and a soul rather than a factory-made finish, let's talk about your idea.
The Messy Hand
I'm Naina, and my work desk is usually covered in ink and paper scraps. I see drawing as a way to find stillness in a chaotic day, and I love creating pieces that help others find that same peace, whether it is a detailed mandala for your home or a portrait for someone you love.
