Exploring Our World: Play-Based Science & Shapes for Kids
We turn everyday wonders into learning adventures. From building a 'Rectangle Robot' to understanding the phases of the moon, your child learns by doing, not just watching. Let’s make learning fun, or as I say, masti se padhai (learning with fun).
I love seeing the proud smile on a child's face after they complete a project. We made this 'Rectangle Robot' to learn about shapes in a creative way, showing how everyday objects are made of simple geometric forms. This is a key part of our general knowledge curriculum.
In this video, a student is quickly identifying different shapes from a simple drawing. We practice recognizing everything from circles and squares to more complex shapes like trapeziums and hexagons. This builds a strong foundation for geometry and spatial awareness.
Here is a short clip from one of my online classes where we learned about the phases of the moon. You can hear how I encourage my students to participate and feel confident. My goal is to make every child feel amazing about what they know.
Learning happens everywhere, even on the floor with puzzles. Here, two children are working together on shape and picture puzzles, developing problem solving skills, concentration, and teamwork.
About Exploring Our World
Instead of rigid rote learning, I focus on tactile engagement to make concepts stick. Whether we are constructing a 'Rectangle Robot' to master geometry or using hands-on puzzles to practice problem-solving, the goal is to make science and general knowledge feel like a natural extension of your child's daily play.
Learning That Starts With Curiosity
I believe that for a child aged 3.5 to 5, the world is a giant classroom. My 'Exploring Our World' program doesn't just push facts; it follows the Reggio Emilia approach, meaning I let your child lead the way. If they are fascinated by how a shadow changes or why the moon changes shape, we turn that interest into a lesson.
How We Make Science and Shapes Real
- Geometry through Crafts: We don't just point at pictures of squares or triangles. We build 'Rectangle Robots' and create 'Mushroom Math' models. This turns abstract shapes into physical, memorable objects.
- Science in Daily Life: We talk about moon phases using simple, interactive video sessions and daily observations. By connecting concepts like the solar system or animal behavior to their own life, kids stop seeing science as a 'subject' and start seeing it as a way to understand their environment.
- Tactile Problem Solving: You will see us using puzzles and flashcards on the floor, not just sitting at a desk. This builds concentration, spatial awareness, and the confidence to figure things out independently.
Why Choose This Approach?
Whether you join my online sessions or visit me at my center in Paschim Vihar, the goal is the same: to build a strong foundation without stress. We keep groups small so I can adapt the pace to your child. No rushing, no pressure, just curiosity-driven learning that prepares them for big school while keeping them excited about what they can discover next.
