About Pro Tips & Pool Rules
Always take a quick shower before stepping into our ozonized pool. It is the golden rule for keeping the water pristine and reducing the need for harsh chemicals, which means a smoother, gentler swimming experience for your skin and hair.
Master Your Strokes
Freestyle: When you are swimming freestyle, focus on your leg extension. A common mistake is bending the knees. By keeping your legs straight and stretching your feet, you create a more efficient kick that moves you through the water with less effort. Small adjustments to your arm motion can also significantly increase your speed.
Butterfly: The breathing technique is the trickiest part of the butterfly stroke. Timing is everything. Ensure your breath is synchronized with the movement of your arms and legs to maintain momentum. If you rush the breath, you lose the fluid rhythm required for this stroke.
Breaststroke: Breathing in breaststroke should be calm and deliberate. Time your breath with the arm pull and the leg kick so that you are lifted above the water at the right moment. Staying relaxed is the key to mastering this stroke.
Why We Have These Rules
We love our community, and keeping the pool clean is a team effort. Here is why we ask you to follow these simple guidelines:
- Nylon Only: We strictly allow nylon or dry-fit clothing. Cotton absorbs water, becomes heavy, and can shed fibers that clutter the pool filtration system. Nylon is durable, retains its shape, and handles ozonized water much better.
- No Sunscreen: Because our pool is fully indoors, you do not need to worry about UV exposure. Sunscreen often leaves a residue that affects water clarity and cleanliness, so please skip it before you jump in.
- Swim Caps: Wearing a cap is non-negotiable. It protects your hair, keeps the pool hygienic, and reduces drag so you can swim faster. Plus, it keeps loose hair from blocking our filtration system.
