Bharatanatyam Dance Classes for All Ages
From foundational steps to competition-ready performances, our Bharatanatyam classes blend strict classical tradition with modern energy and fun.
The magic of our Annual Day celebration. We believe every student deserves their moment in the spotlight, and our yearly event provides a professional stage for them to showcase their talent. Here, our young Bharatanatyam students perform a Krishna-themed piece in full traditional costume.
Learning from a true master. Our students at the Mahadevapura branch receive direct guidance from Natya Mayur Kamalesh Master, a Karnataka State Government Award Winner. He is seen here teaching the fundamentals of 'abhinaya' or expressive storytelling.
Discipline, flexibility, and strength are the foundations of a great dancer. This is a glimpse into a practice session at our Mahadevapura studio, where students work on advanced postures and the rhythmic footwork known as 'Sollukattu'.
We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements inside and outside the studio. Here are our students Sannidhi and Jaswika after winning first and third prize at a dance competition held at Gopalan Mall, judged by our own Kamaleshwar sir.
We cherish the timeless Guru-Shishya parampara, the sacred bond between teacher and student. This moment captures our students participating in a "Guru Dakshina" ceremony, paying respect to their teacher, Ms. Meenakshi, which is a core part of our school's values.
It is never too late to connect with your passion for dance. We are proud to offer batches for adults, and this is a solo performance by our student Anushree from the Kaggadasapura branch, showing her dedication and grace.
The hands tell the story in Bharatanatyam. Our young students at the Kaggadasapura branch are fully engaged in a 'Mudra Practice' session, learning the intricate hand gestures that form the vocabulary of this classical dance form.
About Featured
We keep our Bharatanatyam batches small, with only 10 to 15 students per group, so every dancer gets individual correction on their Araimandi posture and hasta mudras from our senior instructors. It is a mix of disciplined, traditional training and a relaxed environment where you don't just learn the steps—you learn how to tell a story.
Whether you are a total beginner or getting back into dance after a break, we have a place for you. We focus on the Guru-Shishya parampara, meaning you get real mentorship, not just a series of mechanical steps.
Expert Guidance Our classes at the Mahadevapura and Kaggadasapura studios are led by experienced instructors, including Natya Mayur Kamalesh Master, a Karnataka State Government Award winner. You will receive hands-on feedback on your abhinaya (facial expressions) and rhythmic footwork (Sollukattu), which are the backbone of classical training.
What to Expect
- Foundation: We start with proper postures and basic adavus on professional wooden or vinyl flooring to ensure your safety and joint health.
- Theory & Technique: Learn the precise hasta mudras and theory, with a syllabus aligned to Karnataka State and Gandharva Grade Exams for those who want to take their training to a professional level.
- Performance: We believe in stage presence. Our students regularly perform at events like the annual day celebrations and local mall competitions—just like Sannidhi and Jaswika, who recently took home top prizes at our Gopalan Mall showcase.
Class Structure We offer group batches of 8 sessions per month (twice a week). If you need something more intensive or have a specific goal like competition prep, our private 1-on-1 coaching sessions are the best way to get granular with your technique. We also record your practice segments during these sessions to help you see and correct your own form at home.
