About Living Room & Lounge Atmospheres
Getting the living room right isn't about blinding brightness; it's about control. I usually recommend a mix of architectural COBs for general visibility and decorative pendants or wall sconces to create specific zones of interest. Before we finalize any fixture, I look at your ceiling height and furniture placement—if the light doesn't complement how you actually use your sofa or coffee table, it is just a lamp, not an experience.
Lighting a living room is an exercise in restraint. In my projects across Pitampura and the wider Delhi NCR area, I see too many spaces flooded with harsh, uniform white light that flattens the room’s character.
Contrast is key. Think of your living room as a set of functional zones.
