It’s not just macrame and crochet. It’s late nights, family teamwork, and the real hustle behind every knot we tie.
My mom and mother-in-law are my business success formula. When both your moms believe in you and help you pack orders, you feel like you can conquer anything.
People ask, "Who will buy your products?" And then I see this at our pop-up stalls. Seeing so many people appreciate our handmade work is the best feeling.
Time toh lagega! Business banana hai, Maggie nahi. Building something from scratch takes patience and hard work, but seeing happy customers at our stall makes it all worth it.
"Papa ki pari" banne ke umar me "small business" kholke raat ke 2 baje tak majduri kar rahi hu. The reality of a small business owner, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Getting paid for your creativity is a real flex. Here I am at our exhibition stall, surrounded by products we made with our own hands. It's a feeling of pure passion turned into profit.
Let's pack another bulk order. This one included 50 keychains, 100 pairs of earrings, and 5 lanyards. Every single product is made with premium material and lots of love.
Oh my god, this is what Instagram did to us. We got a huge order of 70 lanyards, a mix of long lanyards and wristlets. We were so excited to make them in beautiful colors.
We received an order of 60 bags and some accessories. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without our amazing team and loyal customers. We delivered it on time.
Business me 'malkin' banne se pehle... 'majdoor' banna padhta hai. This is the reality check of being an entrepreneur. Every knot and every late night is part of the journey.
When your sister-in-law owns a business and you are the unpaid employee. So grateful for my family who helps with everything from making products to organizing materials.

Building a business from scratch is never as glamorous as social media makes it look. For us, The Pretty Knot is not about massive production lines—it is about the two of us sitting in our living room, perfecting a bag strap or untangling cords at 2 AM. My mom is my rock; she is the one who taught me that 'malkin' (owner) status is earned only after you have been the 'majdoor' (worker).
Every exhibition we set up, every bulk corporate order of keychains we tackle, and every custom-made top we weave starts with that same mindset. Whether it is a simple phone lanyard or a complex, fringed vest, we do not rush the process. We know that handmade quality takes patience. If you see a knot that looks slightly different from the last one, that is just our signature. It is what makes each piece ours, and eventually, uniquely yours.
