About this collection
When I am not knotting, I am often thinking about how these pieces travel from my workspace to your home. Every custom order, whether it is a small coaster or a large table runner, gets the same level of attention during the packing process to ensure it reaches you perfectly.
People often see the finished wall hanging or cushion cover, but there is a lot that happens before it reaches you. Whether I am preparing for a pop-up market in Bangalore or boxing up a set of fourteen cushion covers for a client, my priority remains the integrity of the design.
The packing process is a significant part of the handmade experience. I use specific materials to ensure that intricate fringe and knot patterns do not get damaged in transit. When you order a piece from me, you are receiving something that was made with hours of manual labour, often with 3mm or 4mm twisted cotton cord, tied knot by knot.
I share these glimpses behind the scenes because I want you to know the person behind the product. It is not always glamorous. There are days when my hands ache or a design requires multiple trials to get the tension just right. I have spent countless hours perfecting patterns, from simple spiral knots to complex diamond mesh, to ensure they hold up over time. If you have a specific vision for your home, we can work together to create it. I love a challenge, and I am always happy to discuss custom designs, colour palettes, and sizing to fit your space perfectly.

Hi, I am Shikha. I spend my days tangled in yarn, turning cotton cords into pieces that feel like home. Making things by hand is my way of sharing love, and I put a piece of that into every order I create for you.
