Real sparring isn't just about winning medals; it’s about testing your grit, speed, and focus in the ring. Join us to train under pressure, learn tactical movement, and build the confidence to stand your ground.

"Push karke maaro!" I always tell my students to fight with full power. This sparring session shows two young fighters learning to control the ring and dominate the match.

Sparring practice isn't just about hitting; it's about movement, strategy, and getting back up when you fall. This is how we build resilience.

Geared up and ready for battle. This is the moment before the match starts, where focus is everything. We prepare our students mentally and physically for this intensity.

Even our youngest warriors learn the fundamentals of sparring. This video shows two little champs practicing their moves in a safe and controlled environment.

About this collection

We don't believe in 'soft' training. When you step onto the mat for Kyorugi (sparring), you’ll be wearing full protective gear—Hogu, headguards, and shin guards—to simulate the exact intensity of district and state-level matches. I personally supervise every bout, correcting your footwork and reaction time in real-time. This is where your technique turns into tactical, high-speed action.

Why Sparring Changes Everything

Sparring is the ultimate test of your Taekwondo journey. It’s where your kicks, blocks, and stamina are put to the test against a live opponent. Unlike casual practice, my Kyorugi classes focus on the mental toughness required to handle the pressure of a real tournament. You aren't just learning to hit; you are learning to read your opponent’s movement and execute the right strike at the right second.

The Training Routine

My sessions in Andheri West and Goregaon are built for competition readiness:

  • Tactical Drilling: We focus on distance management and reaction speed. You’ll practice your Roundhouse and Hook kicks repeatedly until they become instinctual.
  • Simulation: Using full protective gear ensures we can push the intensity without unnecessary injury. We mimic competition rules, referee calls, and the adrenaline of the ring.
  • Physical Conditioning: Speed and power require core stability. We mix in functional exercises to keep you fast on your feet during the final rounds.

Getting Tournament Ready

If you’re aiming for district or state championships, you need more than just technique—you need strategy. We cover everything from weigh-in preparation to corner coaching. Many of my students, including some as young as six, have already brought home medals by sticking to this disciplined routine. It’s not easy, and you will get tired, but that’s the point. Ready to stop practicing and start competing? Come down for a session and feel the difference.
