Family & Kids Photography: Candid Milestones and Traditions
I love freezing those fleeting, chaotic, and beautiful family moments. Whether it is a tiny Kanha at Janmashtami or the sacred, traditional rituals of a Munj, I am here to tell your family's story exactly as it happens.
An adorable baby portrait from a Janmashtami themed shoot. This little 'Kanha' with his wide-eyed expression and a peacock feather is a perfect example of a creative and memorable baby photoshoot.
A peaceful black and white close-up of a baby during his Janmashtami shoot. The focus on his serene, sleeping face with the traditional 'tilak' creates a timeless and angelic portrait.
A heartwarming group photo of children during a 'Munj' or thread ceremony. The playful interaction between the young boy in his traditional attire and the girls creates a lively and memorable family moment.
A creative collage from a Maharashtrian thread ceremony. The black and white image captures a quiet, ritualistic moment, while the inset color photo shows the boy's bright and happy face.
A beautiful portrait of a mother and son during his 'Munj' ceremony. The mother's proud and loving embrace encapsulates the deep emotional significance of this important family milestone.
About Little Ones & Family
When I photograph families or ceremonies like a Munj, I do not just look for the perfect pose. I wait for the candid interactions—the way a cousin pulls a brother's cheek, or the quiet, proud embrace between a mother and son. These small, unscripted moments are where the real story lives, and that is what I strive to preserve for you.
Documenting Your Family Milestones
Photography for me is about finding the 'manatla'—the feeling from the heart. Family sessions, especially those involving children, are rarely about standing still and smiling at the lens. They are about movement, laughter, and the occasional tantrum that we will look back on and laugh about later. Whether it is a Janmashtami-themed baby shoot where we wait for that perfect, toothless grin, or a traditional thread ceremony, my goal is to document the raw reality of your life.
The Munj Ceremony and Cultural Traditions
I have a special place in my heart for Maharashtrian traditions like the Munj (thread ceremony). These are intense, fast-paced events. Managing the rhythm of these ceremonies while ensuring I capture the ritualistic essence requires focus and patience. I spend time observing the interplay between family members—the playful teasing among cousins, the pride in a mother's eyes, and the solemnity of the elders. My goal is to capture the essence of these rituals so you can relive the sentiment, not just the visual.
My Approach to Your Shoot
- Planning: We will discuss the vibe beforehand. Are we going for a chaotic, fun outdoor run or a quiet, posed traditional ceremony?
- Comfort: Especially with kids, I take the time to build a connection. I don't like rushing. If the baby needs a break, we take a break.
- Collaboration: For themed shoots, like Krishna-themed baby photos, I am happy to work with your decorators or suggest themes that feel natural and meaningful to you.
I am based in Navi Mumbai and Raigad, but I am always ready to travel if your family event takes us somewhere new. Let us create a visual memory bank of your most precious moments.
