The beauty of Indian culture is in the details. For this Durga Puja shoot, I wanted to highlight the significance of 'Alta', the red dye that adorns the hands and feet, set against a traditional carpet. It’s a small detail that tells a big cultural story.

I shoot individual, couple, and themed portraits including festivals and traditions, and I also arrange makeup and mehendi artists for bridal and creative shoots.

I believe every Maharashtrian bride is a work of art. In this portrait, I focused on the beautiful details of her look, from the traditional mundavalya and gold jewellery to her happy, confident smile. Creating these classic bridal portraits is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day.

My Story

Hi, I’m Swarali. Sometimes I wonder if I’m doing things right, but then I grab my camera and the world just gets quiet. My first big event was my cousin’s munj. Dipu kaku just trusted me, and that meant a lot. I love finding stories in small things - like an old aaji selling flowers, her smile brighter than the flowers. खरंच, आनंद छोट्या गोष्टींत आहे (Truly, happiness is in small things).
