About Engagement & Reception Glamour
For engagement and cocktail functions, the lighting is very different from daylight ceremonies. I use specific HD foundations and setting techniques that prevent flashback in your photos while keeping the skin looking dewy rather than powdery. We will coordinate your eye makeup with your outfit, but I always ensure the base stays lightweight enough so you do not feel like you are wearing a heavy mask during the party.
Choosing Your Evening Look
An engagement or reception is your chance to experiment. Whether you want a sophisticated soft-glam look with classic winged liner or a bold, shimmery smokey eye, we make it work for your facial features. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. During our consultation, we decide between HD or Airbrush based on your skin type and the venue’s climate.
The 'Flash-Proof' Promise
Evening parties mean bright, artificial lights. I select premium long-wear products from brands like Estee Lauder, NARS, and Huda Beauty to ensure your makeup remains intact for 8 to 10 hours. My focus is on preventing the common issues with evening makeup: oiliness in the T-zone and fading lipstick. I use high-end finishing sprays by Charlotte Tilbury or Urban Decay, so your makeup stays fresh through the dancing, hugging, and endless photos.
Hair and Draping
Your look is incomplete without the right hairstyle. For receptions, I often recommend Hollywood waves or polished updos that complement the structure of your gown or saree. I also handle professional dupatta or saree pleating so you are completely ready to step out. If you are wearing hair extensions, please have them ready, and I will integrate them seamlessly into your look.
