About Classical & Devotional Music
In these renditions, I prioritize the purity of the raga over complex arrangements. Whether it is a Carnatic kriti like 'Raghuvamsha Sudha' or a traditional bhajan, I integrate my flute to add texture without overpowering the vocals, creating a meditative space that suits both quiet reflection and formal ceremonies.
My approach to devotional and classical music is grounded in the training I received, but it is not meant to be static. I believe these ancient sounds hold a relevance that transcends time, which is why I often blend my vocal performances with subtle instrumental layers like the flute or acoustic guitar. This makes the music accessible for modern contexts while respecting the tradition it comes from.
