Why I Create Songs
Music is how I make sense of feelings that are hard to say. If you feel like your story or emotion is searching for a melody, let’s find it together. I don’t believe in “one size fits all” when it comes to songwriting. For me, every song is a mix of your words and my tunes, blending into something honest.
My Approach
- If you’ve got some doodled lines, a poem, or just a vibe in mind, I’ll work with you to shape them into lyrics. I mostly write in Kannada (sometimes Hindi) and always try to keep the words real, not just pretty.
- If you already have lyrics, I’ll help you with acoustic melody arrangement using guitar, keyboard, or even ukulele. My tunes pull from bhavageethe and sometimes a bit of ghazal-inspired composition.
- Want the whole package? I can create from scratch - lyrics, tune, and vocals, with more instruments added if you want that “full song” feel.

I treat each song like it’s my own - patient, a bit stubborn about details, sometimes slow but always aiming for something aatmiyavaadaddu (from the heart). You’ll always have a say in the process, and I’m open to trying things your way too.

My Story
Hey, I'm Surabhi. Life for me is a bunch of tiny joys - strumming my ukulele, sipping matcha, scribbling tunes in my journal. Nanna katheyu neene baredu, neene paatrava padede... nanna poornaside. That line sits in my heart and spills into my music. I find magic in simple things - painting, rangoli, sunrises, or a new recipe in my food diary. My songs, like ‘Bhavachitrave’, are just pieces of my life, memories I want to share.
