My Creative Process Behind Original Songs
Every melody has a beginning. Step inside my studio to see how raw thoughts, old diaries, and acoustic instruments turn into original Kannada and Hindi songs.

About Behind the Music: My Creative Process
The process isn't mechanical; it is a translation of your story into a melody. Whether you have scribbled lines in a notebook or just a feeling you cannot name, we start with a conversation to catch the mood—the rasa—before touching any instruments. My goal is to make sure the final song feels aatmiyavaadaddu (close to the heart), not just a generic track.
How We Build Your Song
My creative process is built on collaboration. Since music is how I make sense of feelings that are hard to say, I approach every project as a partnership. Here is how we typically move from an idea to a finished track:
- The Narrative Phase: We start with a 45-minute consultation. We talk about the emotion, the context, and the story behind the song. If you have lyrics or even just a poem, we work on those first. If you don't, I help translate your thoughts into words.
- The Melody Draft: Once the lyrics are set, I compose the tune using my guitar, keyboard, or ukulele. I focus on structure—Pallavi and Charanas—ensuring the flow feels natural. You get two variations of the hook to choose from.
- Studio Recording: For full productions, we move into my home studio. This is where I record the lead vocals and layer harmonies, ad-libs, and instrumentation. I handle the mixing and mastering so the final WAV file is ready for streaming or personal sharing.
Why My Process Works
I avoid 'one size fits all' compositions. My sound is deeply rooted in contemporary bhavageethe, acoustic pop, and ballads. By keeping the instrumentation simple—mostly guitar, piano, or flute—I ensure the focus remains on the storytelling. I believe that an honest song resonates longer than a loud one.
Whether you need a song for a special occasion, an independent release, or a playback project, I prioritize clarity and emotion. I am a bit stubborn about the details, but that is because I want to deliver something you will cherish for years.
