This video captures the grandeur of a jewellery campaign I styled for Jadaav Jewels. We used a heritage location and dramatic smoke effects to create a cinematic feel, focusing on close-ups of the intricate polki and emerald jewellery.

When I style a jewellery campaign, I focus on making the piece the hero, not just an accessory. I handle the entire visual narrative, from sourcing props that complement the heritage setting to directing the model’s poses and ensuring the drapes perfectly frame the jewellery. This is not just about putting on a necklace; it is about art directing a frame where the jewellery speaks for itself.
Creating a standout jewellery campaign requires more than a beautiful model and good lighting. It requires a deep understanding of the craftsmanship behind the piece. Having built my own jewellery brand, Parakkh, I bring a unique, insider perspective to every shoot. I know how a polki set needs to sit on the collarbone and how a jadau necklace captures light against different fabric textures.
My process starts with detailed moodboarding, where we define the colour palette and the brand story. Whether we are shooting in a raw, rustic heritage property in Jaipur or a high-contrast studio in Mumbai, I oversee every detail. This includes sourcing specific fabrics, fresh flowers, or vintage books for the set, and briefing the photography team to ensure the lighting style matches the collection’s mood, whether it is 'festive fervour' or a moody 'jet black vibe'.
For bridal campaigns, I focus on the 'hero' shots, capturing the intricate details of the nath, maang tikka, or layered chokers. I manage all on-set execution, from professional draping to ensure the garment does not overpower the jewellery, to active model direction that brings an aspirational, regal feel to the final images.
