Outdoor shoots are not just about finding a pretty backdrop. My process involves scouting locations that create a specific visual tension with the garment—like placing a sharp, modern jumpsuit against a rough, weathered monument. We bring the full production kit, including steamers and props, so we are not just relying on natural light; we are actively constructing the scene to ensure your campaign looks polished and intentional.

When we move a shoot from a controlled studio environment to the outdoors, the dynamic changes. My role as your creative partner is to handle the logistics of that transition.

The Creative Process

Before we step on site, we establish the narrative. I work on detailed moodboards that define the color palette, lighting references, and the specific energy we want to capture. Whether it is an 'Escape the ordinary' water-based shoot or a rustic architectural series, every element is planned to ensure the clothes are the hero of the image.

On-Set Production

Outdoor shoots come with variables—changing light, wind, and terrain. My team is there to manage it all. We include two assistants to handle the essentials: steaming and ironing garments on-site to remove travel wrinkles, managing props, and assisting with complex draping. We treat every location as an extension of the brand's identity. If we are shooting a resort collection, we focus on fresh, breezy visuals; if it is a luxury campaign, we look for textures and angles that elevate the product.

Collaborative Direction

I believe in team calibration. I brief the photographer and the beauty team on the morning of the shoot to ensure we are all aligned on the visual story. I also handle model direction to get the right poses and expressions that match the campaign vibe. You are not just getting a stylist; you are getting a creative director who ensures that the final images—be it for an e-commerce lookbook or a high-fashion editorial—are cohesive and compelling.
